In Canada, Designated Learning Institutions (DLIs) are educational institutions that are approved by provincial or territorial authorities to host international students. There are Canadian government approved colleges for International Students. These institutions must meet specific criteria set by the Canadian government to ensure that they provide quality education and support services for international students. Each DLI is assigned a Designated Learning Institutions Number (DLI#) by the regulatory authority and an example of a DLI# is O111596476281
International students who wish to study in Canada at the post-secondary level must have a letter of acceptance from a DLI to be eligible for a study permit. DLIs can include universities, colleges, technical or vocational schools, and other types of institutions.
It’s important for prospective international students to check the official list of DLIs maintained by the Canadian government, as institutions can gain or lose their DLI status. The list is regularly updated to reflect changes in accreditation or approval. you can find the most up-to-date list of DLIs on the official website of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
